Energy represents the basic resource in Cosmos Quest. This game is based on the SI which uses Joule (J) as a unit for energy.
Energy can be gained by clicking on the background screen to the left (or by clicking on a disaster). This enables you to buy your first building. Once a building is bought, it will generate energy and start the automated energy-gain process, allowing you to buy more buildings and upgrades, which will finally start to generate omega (Ω).
